There is a core-wound that sits in the heart of humanity and it is the single most destructive force to earth and her life. This wound is a side-effect of a rapidly growing central nervous system, over-specialization, and of a drift away from the wisdom of the depths to the expansiveness of the heights. There is a saying “you cannot bless the fruits and curse the roots”. Understanding this is more important now than ever before!

This wound is called "the illusion of isolation" and it gives rise to the abandonment fear, fury and shame that fuels the most toxic aspects of human behaviour. Where did it come from? What can we do to heal it? Answering these questions and healing the wound is of paramount importance to the continuance of our species and to the health of our planet. But, this requires us to look deep into the underbelly of life, unearth the treasures and the shadows in ourselves, and consecrate (make holy) our relationship to it. It requires us to return to Annwn and restore our sacred relationship with the under-country and thus, the roots, origins and foundations of life on earth. Life rises from below. It does not descend from above. The Under-Country known as the Underworld or Anwnn is the “Well of Knowing” and it has the power to heal us and bring humanity back to a sacred relationship with life on Earth.
