Drew Dellinger: Planetary Cosmology
Our present moment is a pivotal time for a planet in crisis. The modern Western worldview of separation, exploitation, and domination has led us to the edge of ecological and social collapse. And yet, even in the face of disaster, new cultural emergences and transformations are sprouting. The plants and the planet are calling us to connect. Traditional wisdom, contemporary movements, and new understandings of interconnectedness are converging to offer-if not a map-then certainly a direction. From the teachings of plants, to the photographs of Earth from space, to new movements for racial and economic justice, the worldview of modernity is gradually being superseded by an emerging cosmology of connection. Each of us has a role to play in these historic transformations toward a thriving global culture.
