Astrological Medicine For The Soul with John Wadsworth & Davyd Farrell

Bringing together Astrologer, John Wadsworth and Plant Shaman, Davyd Farrell in this 'astrological planets & plants forecast', a unique fusion of the worlds of astrology and plant medicine, delivering a fortnightly medicine for the soul.

In this episode John covers the following themes:

Total (Blood Red) Lunar Eclipse - this is not visible in the UK or Europe, as it occurs during the day, but would be visible on the Pacific side of the USA (around 4am), the far east and Australia, around 10pm - midnight, depending on time zone.

Full moon eclipse energy:  bearing the tension of opposing forces, challenge to find a middle ground on which to stand which can witness both sides of the polarity.
Eclipse energy is like full moon energy but more powerful, reverberates for longer - 6 months, until next eclipse season.

Sagittarius/Gemini polarity brings up tension around morality, religious beliefs and ideologies, access to knowledge and information, ways of understanding and interpreting information, the conviction of knowing (Sagittarius) vs doubt & questioning (Gemini).

Mercury & Venus square Neptune:  danger of being deceived or to over-emphasise the significance of something in everyday communication & business, and in love, seeing life through rose-colour glasses.

Mars trine Neptune: the possibility to surrender one’s will energy to the greater, inevitable flow; taking rests, retreat, relaxation.

Mercury turns retrograde on 29th May at 24 degrees Gemini (until 21st June) - period of things going astray administratively, a time rife with misunderstandings, misalignments of meaning and interpretation - information is less reliable, need to read between the lines, check contracts twice, get things in writing!

Saturn turns retrograde tomorrow (22nd May) at 13 degrees Aquarius - retrograde until 10th Oct (station direct at 6 degrees Aquarius).  Rules are less clearly defined, unable to rely on outer structures of authority and governance, have to look within for one’s own orientation and boundaries.

The full moon falls among the fixed stars of the Scorpius constellation, in the claws - Acrab (Scorpius beta star) & Jabbah (Scorpius delta star).  Both stars that have the qualities of Mars & Saturn and associated with treachery, deceit, probing, deep research & investigation.

John Wadsworth

I became a professional astrologer in 1992, following a profound experience of communion with the night sky, which opened my mind to the poetry of the cosmos and radically altered my worldview.  I consider myself to be a creative innovator in the field, engaging with astrology primarily as an embodied, experiential practice capable of facilitating profound healing and transformation.  Studying and working as an astrological consultant for over twenty years, I have tapped an incredibly rich resource of archetypal symbolic understanding and gained enormous insight into the workings of the human psyche.  I offer astrological consultations and coaching sessions, working with individuals and couples to facilitate a profound journey of self-realisation.  I am also an experienced teacher and workshop facilitator and hold a Masters in Cultural Astronomy and Astrology. I am also a pioneer of astrodrama and astrological theatre.

Throughout all of my work, my aim has been to help awaken passion, purpose and creative inspiration. I consider these to be at the heart of what it is to live an empowered life and what it is to be truly alive.  I would say that my primary commitment as an astrologer is to help people re-align to their deepest truth and help them develop the confidence to live from that.
